Vein Ablation

A minimally invasive procedure that destroys varicose veins, enhancing both your cosmetic appearance and overall health.

What It Is

Vein ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that ablates or destroys varicose veins, enhancing your cosmetic appearance and overall health. The treatment addresses symptoms associated with varicose veins, including numbness, pain, cramping, swelling, and leg heaviness, and may also reduce risks of serious complications such as blood clots, skin ulcers, and bleeding.

How It's Performed

A board-certified cardiologist conducts this outpatient procedure in under an hour. We initially inject local anesthetic to numb the treatment area and make a small incision for catheter insertion into the affected vein. The catheter delivers a safe dose of laser or radiofrequency energy that heats the vein walls and seals them. Following this step, we remove the catheter and bandage the incision site. Patients typically resume normal activities within several days.
